Walter Lloyd Pharmacy began trading from its current site in 1850.

Part of our history involves the throat pastille Vocalzone. Vocalzone was first created for Enrico Caruso the renowned Italian tenor in the early part of the 20th Century. It was the idea of an eminent London surgeon William Lloyd whose brother Walter Lloyd created the product in this pharmacy and the product remained in the family for many subsequent years. Vocalzone is the only product in the world that is uniquely suited to helping singers maintain their clarity of voice, and the product's success over the years has been reflected in the consistently fine performances of the stars who use it.

Over the years the pharmacy has concentrated on providing a first class service to all its customers. To have survived for over 150 years the business has had to move with the times and satisfy the changing trends of the customer. One of the biggest changes in all these years has been the introduction of computerisation and with it the internet.
